Article Marketing – How You Can Build Your Online Empire by Writing and Marketing Articles

Learning how to write an article than can help you to build an online empire is not as difficult as it may seem. Remember that these are simple articles, approximately three hundred words long, and written at the high school level. You can easily check the level of what you are writing by going to Word’s Flesch Kincaid readability score tool.

There are five parts to your article. They are the title, summary, article body, keywords, and the resource box. Each part has its own importance, and must be completed in a way that enhances the reading experience for your prospect.

Your article’s title needs to be rich in keywords. If you are writing about managing your time to be able to write and have time with your family, your keywords will most likely include the phrase ‘time management’. There are several free tools available to help you search for the keywords that people are using to search for what you have to offer. Also, put your keywords in the beginning of your title, even if that makes them seem a little awkward. You will be glad you did it this way when people begin to find you more easily.

Your article summary can start with a question, to get your prospects thinking about what you will be teaching them in the article. Keep your summary short – two or three sentences at the most, so the reader will want to continue reading your article.

The body of your article will teach the reader an important point about your topic. They have chosen to read your article because they were searching for information, so give them as much as you can so they will not be disappointed.

Your resource box is the place to persuade the reader to click on the link to find out more. When you look at the article marketing strategy, the true reason you want people to read your article is so that they will click on the link in your resource box. Then they will find out more, and end up becoming a prospect. Give something away or make them an offer they can’t refuse when you write in the resource box, also referred to as the author’s bio box.

In the keyword section, do not forget that your name is an important keyword. Add it first so you won’t run out of space at the end. Include the keywords that your research has shown to be the ones your prospects are using when they are searching for information in your niche.

Each part of your article, beginning with the title, is intended to get the reader to continue reading through until the very end of your article, where the resource box is found.

Remember that the ultimate goal with article marketing is to get your articles listed on page one of Google and the other search engines for your keywords. These are called the organic searches, because they are the sites that are found without having to pay for a sponsored ad. Also, more people click on the organic searches than the paid ones, so that is an even better reason to continue to write and market your articles.
